Grim Records formed in 2003, growing out of the community of Impaled Northern Moonforest fans at the former Impaled Northern Moonforest fansite. Motivated partially by the organization of an Impaled Northern Moonforest tribute album earlier that year and partially as a change from an uninspiring office job, two forum regulars joined forces and Grim Records was born. The INM tribute album quickly gained steam, with a range of performers from one-man-band forum regulars to successful noise bands such as Anal Cunt offering to submit songs. Grim Records is looking to the future as an industry leader in the fastest growing genre of all time, acoustic black metal. Nu-metallers beware! Grim Records has since been handed down to another forum regular, The Goat, who intends to continue the tradition of releasing trve grim and frostbitten ABM. Now that www.acousticblackmetal.org is in existence, Grim Records finally has a new webhost.
